To bring products made from Vietnamese agricultural ingredients to domestic and foreign consumers, Duy Anh Foods import-Export Co., Ltd (Duy Anh Foods) has created over 60 product lines of high-quality rice vermicelli, pho, rice paper and products with unique values. Above all, Duy Anh Foods is always creative to make the foods not only more delicious and more nutritious, but also safe for consumers.

March 25, Duy Anh Foods was one of the brands to receive the High Quality Vietnamese Goods Award 2025. This was the 5th consecutive time Duy Anh Foods was honored with this recognition from consumers after the trophies in 2020-2021 (combined into one due to the COViD-19 pandemic outbreak), 2022, 2023 and 2024. This result also proved the constant effort, dedication, innovation and acceptance of customer feedback. This achievement stemmed from the business startup journey of Mr. le Duy Toan, founder of Duy Anh Foods. The story begins in Hoa Dong rice paper making village, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City, his hometown. The century-old cottage industry village gradually faded away due to very hard work but very narrow profit margin. Very few young people continued this profession, even Toan at first. in 2006, after graduating from high school, he became an international student majoring in business administration (California State University, USA) instead of choosing to follow his family's profession. But it seemed that rice paper and Toan were still destined to be together. Once at a supermarket in the US, he was surprised to see bags of "made in Thailand" rice paper on sale while it was a specialty of his hometown. “Seeing the rice paper packages labeled as Thai, i felt very uneasy. A large long[1]standing traditional profession village all worked very hard to enrich a brand from another nation," Toan recalled.

After four years of overseas study, he graduated and had the opportunity to stay in the US to work for a large corporation. However, he decided to return to Vietnam with the strong resolution of exporting Vietnamese rice paper. He pooled all his savings, borrowed money from relatives to invest in factories and buy machinery and established Duy Anh Foods. The first much-expected batch of rice paper was not really delicious, not to mention the fact that the production stages were all manual and the products were not nice[1]looking and not high-quality. Therefore, his products were rejected again and again in Japan and the US. Even domestic distributors “shook their heads”. Undaunted, he continued to diligently research and make necessary adjustments to have better rice paper in the next batches. He realized that each market prefers a product with different shapes, sizes and thickness. Consumers in Europe have different preferences than those in Asian countries. Americans have their own requirements. The Thai market is also different.

By chance, in 2012, a group of Japanese tourists visited the historical site of Cu Chi tunnels, learned about the traditional rice paper production village of phu Hoa Dong and dropped in on Toan's facility. Shortly after that, a member of that group contacted Toan and discussed cooperation in importing rice paper to Japan. Duy Anh Foods' journey of exporting products began from there. From rice paper, Toan expanded production to dried rice vermicelli and dried pho. in addition to traditional products made from white rice, brown rice and sesame, Duy Anh Foods also makes unique products with a combination of natural vegetable ingredients such as dragon fruit, watermelon, spinach and purple sweet potato. Duy Anh Foods' exports have now reached over 50 countries, with major destinations being Japan, South Korea, Australia, the US and Europe. To reach that success, Duy Anh Foods' products have gained quality standards certificates from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and achieved international HAlAl certifications.
